Includes both 16 bit DOS and 32 bit WIN95/NT versions (GAC_BJ32.EXE)! Tournament WaHoo is an impressive addition to any BBS. This game is especially well suited to multinode BBS systems, since it allows players on multiple nodes to participate in the game at the same time. WaHoo is a board game designed around the turn of the century (1900). It has entertained thousands of children and adults since then in it's traditional format. As far as I know, we are the first to bring WaHoo to players via ANY computer format. The game was used as the basis for the ever popular Sorry game by Milton Bradley over 50 years after WaHoo was introduced in America. Game play is simple. You have four marbles that you must move from your starting grid to the home grid (all the way around the board). Each player gets one roll of the die. If you roll a six you get another turn. To get a marble out of the starting grid, you have to roll a six or a one. If you roll anything else, you must wait until your next turn before you can try to get a marble out again. Once you have marbles out, you roll the die to determine how far you can move. You can move any one of your marbles the full count on the die, but you can not jump over or land on your own marbles. However, if you land EXACTLY on someone else's marble, that marble is returned to it's starting grid. If your marble lands in one of the corners marked A,B,C or D and you roll a one, you can enter the center spot. To get out you will have to roll another one, but you can come out at any corner. Once you make it around the board and are attempting to get into your home, you will have to roll the exact number for the spaces remaining. For example if you have a marble one space away from the top of your home grid, you must roll a one. There are four positions in your home grid, one for each of your four marbles. If at any time you can not move, play advances to the next player. Since the games can be long, a save option is available for the user. This will allow the user to continue a game at a later date in case they run out of time on your system or just need to stop. This save feature also protects the user's game if they are disconnected from your system. This BBS game also supports Inter-BBS playing through the fidonet technology. This game uses a routing system identical to Inter-LORD and very similiar to BREs HOST routing system. All routing is handled by the League Coordinator.
